Things to Consider When Buying a Spray Foam Rig

A spray foam rig can be a valuable asset to contractors who perform spray foam insulation and coating jobs. It can also be a huge investment, so it’s not something you want to rush into without a lot of thought and planning.

One of the first things to consider is how much use you will get out of this major piece of equipment. If a large portion (or perhaps all) of your business involves sizable spray foam insulation and coating projects, you will likely get a lot of use out of the rig. It can increase your productivity and ability to complete even large jobs quickly, so it can end up paying for itself as a result of the man-hours you save and the number of additional jobs you’re able to complete. On the other hand, if these types of jobs are more of a sideline for you, this may not be worth the investment.

If you do anticipate getting enough use out of a rig to make it cost-effective, you need to decide what type of setup you need. Do you already have a box truck or trailer that you can use? If so, perhaps you only need an equipment package that fits inside of that space. If you don’t have a box truck, you’ll likely want to consider our trailer rigs. These customizable units serve as a self-contained jobsite on the go, and can be designed to meet your specific needs.
