Even celebrities are doing it.
Ty Pennington of TLC’s “Trading Spaces” and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” praised the benefits of Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) insulation as part of a recent Houston-based realtor and builder awards ceremony.
During the ceremony, Pennington said the hot trend in home construction he most appreciates is the “current movement toward creating spaces that are green — more environmentally friendly and energy efficient.” He added that increasing numbers of people are realizing what materials to put in their homes, such as SPF, and making use of technological advances, like using phones to set temperatures and check water usage.
In the past, he noted, home construction was more about how many rooms and a garage could be in a single-story house. Yet, now Pennington said homeowners are trying to live as big as possible in a smaller space by reconsidering a room’s purpose, like converting a formal dining room into a children’s play room or office.
Spray foam systems can offer many benefits, as SPF contractors likely already know. However, the general public may not be as familiar with the benefits and characteristics of spray foam insulation and why it makes such a smart choice for insulation requirements.
When communicating with customers – or prospective customers – who may be inquiring about spray foam insulation services, contractors may need to educate these clients about the advantages of spray foam insulation.
At Intech Equipment and Supply, we have compiled a round-up of some of the main benefits of spray foam insulation, which can serve as “selling points” for contractors who want to explain to customers why they should choose spray foam insulation. Click here for these selling points.
