Every so often, the team members at Intech Equipment compile a list of favorite products in the spray foam industry.
Currently, we are big fans of Touch and Seal Foam Kits, a line of premium-quality insulating foam sealants, specialty coatings and adhesives for use in commercial, industrial and agricultural structures.
Portable and disposable, these two-component foam systems provide a quick, consistent flow of foam with rapid curing, they tend to dry ‘tack-free’ in a matter of seconds, and the foam is 100 percent cured in only one hour.
Manufactured by Convenience Products, Touch and Seal foam products are ideal for air sealing and insulating residential homes and commercial buildings. Read on for three efficient ways contractors can apply these products:
· General Air Sealing. Touch ‘n Seal Quick Cure Polyurethane Foam Sealants are well suited for air sealing stud walls, band and rim joists, as well as attic floors prior to installing fiber insulation.
· Attic Insulation. If you apply up to two inches of Touch ‘n Seal Two Component Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation on attic floors prior to installing blown-in or batt insulation, it can add up to R-12 of additional thermal protection. Unlike fiber insulation, Touch and Seal’s foam spray insulation dramatically reduces heat loss or gain from the attic – which can contribute to a sizeable portion of energy loss.
· Basement Insulation. In colder climates, it’s no secret that basement walls can be a large source of heat loss. At Intech Equipment, we’ve seen the positive affects that Touch ‘n Seal’s Two Component Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation can deliver – including a continuous layer of insulation that performs as a moisture vapor barrier, helping to keep basements regularly dry and warm.
