Suppliers and professionals from various sectors of the polyurethanes industry had an opportunity to make new contacts, exchange information and learn about the latest industry developments this summer at the UTECH North America Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.
UTECH North America gave suppliers to the polyurethane industry an opportunity to showcase their products and network with potential customers and colleagues. Attendees got to see the latest products and technologies available, research new suppliers and learn about key issues in the industry.
A round-table discussion, led by Professor Ramani Narayan, of the Biobased Materials Research Group, Michigan State University, addressed the issue of sustainability in the polyurethanes sector and why the acceptance of this approach has been moving so slowly.
Other panels and sessions at the conference focused on elastomer/case developments, flexible foam and automotive developments. There was also a science cluster, a group of more detailed presentations about specific topics such as newly designed carbodiimides.
The conference’s organizer, Crain Communications, has also held similar conferences in Europe and Asia.
Manufacturing technology showcased at the conference included the latest mixing and dispensing machinery, equipment for reaction injection molding, plus cutting equipment needed for making products based on flexible foams, rigid foams and elastomers.
Of course, contractors and others who need any type of spray foam equipment will find everything they need at the online store at Intech Equipment & Supply.
