It’s no secret that housing and the economy in general has taken some hits over the past few years, but there are signs that things are finally starting to turn around. The latest data from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is definitely encouraging. On a national level, housing starts jumped nearly 16 percent in July, the highest level since last November. This signifies both an improving economy and stronger consumer confidence.

More housing growth means more demand for a whole variety of materials, supplies and services related to construction and renovation. This of course includes the spray foam insulation and roofing industries.

However, just because consumers are feeling confident enough to spend money doesn’t mean they want to waste it senselessly. Most consumers (regardless of their financial situation) are concerned about saving money, and many also want to conserve energy. Green building and remodeling trends are hotter than ever, and the use of spray foam insulation is increasingly at a rapid rate.

This means that contractors may see an increase in the demand for jobs involving spray foam, and they need to ensure they are able to complete those jobs. Fortunately, contractors can find all of the spray foam insulation equipment they need at Intech Equipment & Supply.
