Q: I am having trouble viewing your website when I use Internet Explorer 8.

A: Sounds like a compatibility issue with IE8. We currently only support IE7 and Firefox, but you can still view it in IE8. To fix this issue and continue using IE8 all you have to do is turn on compatibility mode. To do this click the icon located to the right of the address bar next to the refresh button. Q. Is Intech Equipment a qualified distributor of the items it sells?

A. Yes. You should always check with manufacturers in order to validate that a supplier is a qualified distributor. For example, you can visit www.graco.com and click the link that says “Where to Buy” which will let you locate an authorized distributor by location, or you can call one of their customer service representatives to find out if a business is an authorized distributor. You do not want to purchase from a business that cannot support warranties and service.

Q. How can I be sure Intech Equipment is an established and well standing business?

A. It is always a good idea to ask for credit references from organizations such as Dun & Bradstreet and Cortera which offer references for financial stability. Business should be ready and willing to send prospective customers their credit references and proof of financial stability. If you have trouble getting information on a business’ credit references, take caution.

You can also contact Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB maintains reports on nearly 4 million businesses across North America. At BBB, consumers can check out a business before they make any decisions toward a purchase. BBB also offers consumers tools like Reliability Reports, which will tell you how many complaints a business has received, how they responded to said complaints, and their letter grade rating reflecting BBB’s experience with the business. BBB also offers their Accredited Business Locator, which can help you find businesses in your area that uphold BBB’s rigorous standards.

Other websites offer similar resources for consumers to protect their investments such as Consumer Affairs and the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection.
