Commercial Roofing Supplies & Equipment

Commercial roofing jobs may require some of the same basic equipment as other general spray foam projects, but they often also involve additional materials and supplies. This can be a large, comprehensive category of materials that can run the gamut from hoists to hand tools.

Find the Right Item the First Time Around

Commercial roofing supplies and spray foam equipment can take a daily beating, but it is still important to ensure that you purchase the right item, the first time around. The lifespan may not be forever, but cutting down waste and improving productivity by providing the proper tools for any roofing job that you come across can prove to be invaluable.

The History

Spray foam has been used as a roofing and insulation material for nearly half a century. And through numerous comprehensive, independent studies, these spray foam roofing systems have proven themselves to be dependable, long-lasting and budget friendly.

How Does It Work?

Spray foam is a combination of isocyanate and polyol, two components that are fed through a spray foam machine that heats, then pumps, the two separate components to a spray gun where they are mixed and sprayed onto the substrate. Because spray foam is applied onto a roof as a liquid, it forms a single continuous structure that results in a seamless and very stable result.

Spray foam roofing requires a clean surface for proper application. It must be dry, free of contaminants (such as oil) and properly fastened to the substrate in accordance with the proper building codes. A protective elastomeric topcoat also is required, which is generally sprayed on, too, but it can also be applied with hand or power rollers.

Many Advantages

Spray foam roofing has many advantages over traditional roofing methods. Here are a couple of benefits:

  • Lightweight
  • Seamless
  • Flexible
  • Sustainability
  • Thermal Insulation
